In the 4th inning Burbank scored 4 runs when they had 5 base hits. The big moment was provided by Coco Crisp who silenced the crowd when he doubled plating two runs. California threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short. The victory went to Barry Zito(3-2) who went 8 and 1/3 innings, allowing 5 runs. Jeremy Affeldt recorded the save, his 2nd. Livan Hernandez(1-2) was hit with the loss. Burbank scored big getting 6 runs off him in 4 and 1/3 innings. Despite losing Alan Dyche was optimistic after the game. 'We'll get over this one. Sometimes the breaks fall your way, sometimes they don't. Any one of a dozen little things go different, and we come out on top.'
